THE ORIGINAL SALAD & SUNDAE BARS
Our casual family restaurant pioneered the often-imitated self-service salad, bread and sundae bars. Few offer the quality and selection of O'CONNOR'S. Our salad bar features over 50 items, including farm fresh produce, homemade salads, quality deli products and freshly baked breads. The sundae bar rivals the best of any ice cream parlor, featuring over 20 items from traditional syrups to candy specialties from Hershey and Nestle.
OUR HISTORIC LOCATION
The first recorded ownership of this site dates back to 1703, when Dutch settler Denyse Teunissen relocated to the area from Long Island. In 1923, Christian VanDoren purchased 357 acres from Teunissen, which was later divided into seven smaller farms. Garrett Voorhees later purchased one of these farms where he built his original homestead. His son Garrett II, became the owner and is better remembered because while serving in Washington's Continental Army, the original homestead was burned by Cornwallis at the time of his critical and embarrassing retirement from Somerset Courthouse (Millstone) on June 19, 1777. After the Revolution, the British compensated Garrett Voorhees II for the burnings of his buildings. With his money, Voorhees rebuilt the present Colonial Farms, now home to O'Connor's Beef 'N Chowder House.

Sunday Brunch
Our area renowned All-U-Can-Eat Brunch is available every Sunday. Brunch features: omelette station, choice of chowders, danish and baked goods, freshly carved meats, and numerous choices of specially prepared breakfast and dinner entrees. Entrees vary weekly, but include the likes of Beef Stew, Pepper Steak, Sesame Beef with Broccoli, Shrimp Creole, Shrimp Scampi, Seafood Newburg, Tortellini Alfredo, Chicken Charlemagne, Chicken Marsala, and much more. |
